$1700 dollars for the Cadillac that started the slow and steady fall towards oblivion for the company. This El Dorado may be FWD but it sure is a looker. For the money I would say NP all day.

wow it's probably worth close to $1700 in scrap. I hope it doesn't go that way

With a 472 - 500ci engine, these defined torque steer! Smokey FWD burnouts all day long!

I say CP only because my friend had a 69 and it was a mess, he paid 2k and i had to drive out there and get it started for him

Is it the same FWD set up as the Olds Toronado?

" 2 DOOR " Not surprising since every single eldorado ever made was a 2-door.
I always love ads that make a big deal out of something that all of that type of car had.

HAHA yep
These are the reasons the Montego has every possible fluid it could need in the trunk at all times.
Coolant, Oil, Power Steering fluid, Brake Fluid.

That is a really smart move. If I ever get that Lincoln running I may have to use your excellent idea.

I gota say it's been helpful.
Big benefit is the trunks are gigantic anyhow, may as well put a corner of them to good use and store some "Save your ass" materials back there. I forgot to mention there is also a funnel in there haha.

I always carry spare belts and hoses for everything in addition to fluids in my '73. I had a Buick 455 transplanted into my old '86 Suburban and it had been in there for about two months before I set out on a 12000 mile round the country trip towing a 20' camper. We broke down about every other day, and I had us back on the road in 30 minutes or less every time! V-belts are notoriously unreliable unless you buy good name brand belts, and everything is aligned properly and adjusted properly. Cheap belts stretch, get overtightened, stretch some more and break.

Yeah I probably should throw a spare belt into the Montego trunk.

'67 I think had the 425. They didn't do the 472/500 until '70. ('68 for the 472 maybe?)
I have a '76 500" with a mild cam and low-ish miles since rebuild in my garage. No car to put it in. Know anybody who needs one? Had it in a few things over the years but the bodies rotted out from under whatever I built. Motor is crazy.

I wish I had something to put it in! Those 500" engines are torque monsters!
